A video of an elderly man cruising in a convertible has exploded across social media – and left thousands in shock.
The reason? His eerie resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein.
Now, the man himself is speaking out.
Went viral overnight
The 71-year-old, known online as “Palm Beach Pete,” suddenly became a viral sensation after someone filmed him driving down a highway in Florida.
In the clip, the person filming can be heard shouting:
– Epstein is alive! Epstein is alive!
The video quickly spread, racking up massive views and sparking wild theories online.

– People are staring at me everywhere
For Pete, the attention came out of nowhere.
He says he now feels the reactions wherever he goes – the stares, the whispers, the curiosity.
– Now it’s constant because I’m viral … I can feel people staring at me, he told the New York Post.
He has since gained tens of thousands of followers after launching his own Instagram account to distance himself from the rumors.
This is how it all started
According to Pete, the comparisons go back years – all the way to 2019, when the Epstein case dominated headlines worldwide.
He believes one major factor played a role.
– It was in The Post, it was on TV all the time – it was the ‘it’ story, and I looked like him, he explained.
He says people in New York would already stop, stare, and whisper long before he went viral.
Doesn’t want to be associated with Epstein
Despite the attention, Pete is clear about one thing:
He doesn’t like the comparison.
– I don’t feel good about it – I don’t want to be associated with him. He was a monster, a terrible human being, and I have nothing to do with that, he said.

Why people are reacting so strongly
The story shows just how fast the internet can spiral – especially when something taps into familiar faces and conspiracy theories.
For many, the video was enough to spark speculation.
But the reality is much simpler:
Just a man who happens to look a little too similar.
